Places to Visit
Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, a warm welcome awaits you from our representative—complete with a friendly smile and a touch of local hospitality. You’ll be comfortably transferred to your lodge in Arusha, where you can unwind, enjoy a delicious meal, and settle in as the excitement of your Tanzanian adventure begins. Your safari pre-briefing will take over today.
Arusha is the vibrant safari capital of Tanzania, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru in the northern part of the country. Known for its lush green landscapes, refreshing cool climate, and bustling markets, the city serves as the essential gateway to Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations, including the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. Beyond its role in tourism, Arusha is a major diplomatic and economic hub, hosting key international conference centers and regional organizations, making it a dynamic intersection of natural adventure and cosmopolitan urban life.
Often called Tanzania’s hidden gem, Tarangire National Park offers a rugged, quiet contrast to the more crowded northern safari circuits. Located slightly off the beaten path, it is a landscape dominated by iconic, ancient baobab trees—some thousands of years old—and carved by the life-giving Tarangire River.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a stunning, UNESCO World Heritage site located in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. At its heart lies the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a massive, unbroken volcanic caldera formed millions of years ago. This self-sustaining natural haven drops roughly 600 meters from the rim to the crater floor, creating a unique ecosystem that boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa.
The Serengeti is a world-renowned natural ecosystem in East Africa, celebrated for hosting some of the most spectacular wildlife spectacles on Earth. Its vast, endless savannah plains form the stage for the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles traverse the landscape in a continuous search for fresh grazing lands. Beyond this massive movement of herds, the Serengeti boasts a thriving, year-round population of apex predators—including lions, leopards, and cheetahs—making it a premier destination for classic African safaris and a vital sanctuary for global biodiversity.
